Homemade Popsicles-Summer Bucket List + Giveaway

One of the items on our summer bucket list was to make homemade Popsicles!  Not only did we make some yummy fruit popsicles, but we had a pretty cool product to test!  Sunsella Mighty Pops are a BPA Free Silicone Popsicle Molds.  How perfect that we were able to try these out and also check something off our Summer Bucket List!

We chose to make frozen fruit pops with our new molds.  The kids helped fill up the blender and of course eat them.  I did the filling and placing in the freezer.  I am not only going to share pictures of the process and of course the enjoyment of their consumption, but the recipe we used as well!

Here is our recipe.  We used frozen mixed fruit and apple juice.

popsicles5 popsicles6 popsicles7 I love the fact they are dishwasher safe and BPA free.  They are user friendly and the kids love the colors!  I did find out the hard way that if you do not set them up straight or accidentally tip them you will have a huge mess!  I just happen to catch one on the freezer shelf and had a very big mess to clean up.

I absolutely love that I could use these to control the quality of the ingredients. They look sturdy and less messy than the old popsicle makers.

What an awesome invetion! My kids always want popsicles, but I don’t like the cheep “sugar” ones, and the natural fruit ones a much more expensive. We do make smoothies a lot, but this would be a great way to make popsicles out of our smoothie mixture!
