Fourth of July Texas Style

This year we spent Fourth of July in Texas with Randy’s brother’s family.  It was great to spend time with Aunt Julie, Uncle Keith, Brianna and Carter.  They had so much fun playing with their cousins and did not want to leave.  Our last full day in Leander was Fourth of July.  So we made sure to have a fun and full day with the whole crew.

We spent time playing together at the house.  Jumping on the big trampoline or swinging.

We even tried to get a group shot.  This was a little harder than normal.  Matthew was not feeling all that great.

Then we headed out to watch the fireworks.  Uncle Keith had heard of a big thing going on at a park so we had dinner and then headed over to watch the fireworks.  Aunt Julie bought fun glow in the dark stuff for all the kids and those were a huge hit.  I am not sure why I had never thought about them before.

We all waited for the fireworks to start and took some pictures to kill the time.  Once the fireworks started we heard lots of oohs and ahhs.  We also heard our four yelling out the colors as the went off in the sky and ask when they would see their favorite color.  The firework display was not as long as we had hoped but it was still fun.

It was such a blessing to spend the 4th with our family in Texas!  We do not get the chance to see them very often and it is so much fun when we do!

We hope everyone else had a great 4th of July!
