Mother’s Day 2013

This year we spent time with Randy’s mom…who actually took the kids for a night Friday night.  Yes she had all four of them!  Randy and I got a much needed night to ourselves to focus on us and get some much needed rest.  It seems like we have been going non stop for the past 2 months!  We also spent time with my mother and grandmother.  We had lunch and spent time just hanging out and enjoying each others company.  They kids picked out flowers for all the their grandmothers and me.  We also had the kids sign their names on mats for picture frames.  They turned out so cute!  They really enjoyed the fact they got to help “make” their gift for their grandmas.

We had a great lunch and took a photo with the kids, Grandma Betty (great grandma), nana, and myself.  I am tickled pink that we got some cute photos!

I really am thrilled we got this last one, even if the kids were over the picture taking.  I am glad we stuck it out!

We told the kids once we were done with photos we could play outside…yes I bribed my children to get some photos. lol  We had a ton of fun just running around playing in Grandma Betty’s yard.  They found Great Grandpa Tom’s hat collection in the garage and Great Grandma Betty let them each take one home with them.  It was a process picking out a hat for each.  It is a great keepsake for them to remember Grandpa Tom.

We ended the day by them taking me out for dinner and a little bit of shopping.  They were so excited to get a play store card for my tablet.  I was too, I went home and purchased the rest of the Hunger Games books.  I love reading and so glad I can sit a little each day and spend time reading.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day and spent it with those who you love.  I know we sure did!
