Snow Cream

Well today with us still being snow in I figured what better treat than to make some snow ice cream.  So I collected a big bowl of snow and looked up the recipe and we got to work.  It is pretty simple to make and the kids enjoyed making it.  Here is the recipe we followed…

Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 1 gallon of snow
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Gather freshly fallen snow or catch it in a bowl as it falls. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. We added chocolate chips. You can either eat it immediately or stick it in the freezer until you are ready to eat it.

The really enjoyed eating it from start to end.  Did you notice they ate the left over snow?  It was a fun activity for a day stuck at home.  If you get a chance you should try it!
